Question : Vista not seeing right amount of RAM

My son has windows Vista installed on his computer.  I noticed that if you right click my computer and select properties it is only seeing 895 mb of Ram.  He has 1024 ie 1GB??  I rebooted the system and went into the BIOS, it clearly sees the 1024 as well as that slot 1 and slot 2 both have 512 mb of Ram.

?

Answer : Vista not seeing right amount of RAM

i suggest to upgrade the ram to 2 Gb
check with device management how much ram is used in idle - can be 800 MB, leaving next to nothing for the applications...
