Question : GPOs and trusted sites

hopefully an easy one. i am setting zone templates via gpo for the intranet.

what is the difference between the 'Trusted sites zone template' and the 'locked-down trusted sites zone template'?????

Answer : GPOs and trusted sites

the locked-down template is just that; by default it places more stringent restrictions on the local machine. Here's a Technet article that discusses it all; but about 2/3 of the way down there's a table named "Default Values for URL Action Security Template Policy" that shows the differences:
