Question : GPResult return wrong Domain Type

Good Morning -- I've recently demoted my last Win2K DC, and I'm running 3 Win2k3 DCs. All DCs are 2k3. I've raised the Forest Functioning Level to Windows 2003 and I've raised the Domain Functional Level to Windows 2003. Properties of domain when viewed in ADUC and ACDT show Forest and Domain Functional Levels of Windows 2003, when I run a GPResult from a client machine (or DC for that matter), the domain type returned is Windows 2000. DCdiag passes all tests on all DCs. ADSI claims that msDS-Behavior-Version = 2, which is good, but the fact the GPResult returns windows 2000 as domain type bothers me. Any suggestions??

I've seen this happen before.  I wouldn't be overly concerned if everything is functioning.

This may be due to the ADM templates in use.  You can open up the Default Domain Policy and change one small thing (from an XP SP2 machine) and see if it corrects it, but it's not a critical issue.
