Question : TCP MIB Library Error
|
|
I'm getting an error message, "Error Loading the TCP MIB Libary" when attempting to add a TCP/IP port while adding a printer.
Microsoft KB article 261302 directs me to look for third party dll's in the systemroot folder.
However, I unable to locate a @systemroot@ folder.
Moreover, when searching for tcpmib.dll files, I only find one copy in the system32 folder.
Any ideas?
thanks

Answer : TCP MIB Library Error

The article says:
CAUSE This behavior may occur if a third-party version of the Wsnmp32.dll, Ntprint.dll, Tcpmib.dll, Mgmtapi.dll, or Snmpapi.dll file has been copied to the %SystemRoot% folder. RESOLUTION To resolve this behavior, rename or delete these files in the %SystemRoot% folder. These files are taking precedence over the Microsoft-supplied file in the %SystemRoot%\System32 folder.
The %SystemRoot% folder is normally C:\Windows. (Or whatever drive and folder were used for your installation of WinXP.)
