Question : SMTP connect failed to exchange server 2007
My company has several network scanners that query ldap and can email to anyone in the Address List. I've recently installed an Exchange 2007 server and I would like to point the scanners to it for SMTP, but when I do, it says communication to the serer has failed. I can telnet to the Exchange 2007 server via SMTP just fine. What do I need to do to configure Exchange to accept communication from these devices?
Answer : SMTP connect failed to exchange server 2007
Hi
You will need to create an extra receive connector which has the ip-addresses listed of the network scanners. Then enable it for anonymous authentication and try again
