Question : Exchange 2007 Clustering Across WAN

I have a situation with a customer that I need some help designing their Exchange environment.
They have two locations - one in Kansas City and one in St Louis.  They want to implement clustering of the Exchange server where the servers are clustered both locally AND at the other location.  Reading up on SCR with Exchange 2007 SP1, that seems to be the answer to this one.

But here's the caveat.  They want all users to access ONLY their local servers (unless of course, they're in a disaster situation).  I've never used SCR before but in CCR (unless I'm mistaken) you only have one active node where the mail services are located.  Is this scenerio possible where I can have all servers in a single cluster replication group but allow users to access a local passive node instead of the active node (which may be located in the other geographic location)?

Not going to happen - at least not with native tools. The CCR and SCR are really for failover, not for having the same data accessible from multiple locations at the same time. I actually cannot think of a solution that will allow you to do that - even a GeoCluster I don't think will allow that.
