Question : trying to "reconnect" deleted user account to mailbox-user account won't show in A.D.

Hi,
I'm trying to 'reconnect' a users exchange 2003 mailbox to their account after I accidently deleted it. I have run the cleanup agent to get the 'red X' next to the mailbox. Now when I go 'reconnect' the mailbox to a user, I am not able to see the newly created account in active directory. I have run gpupdate on both domain controllers to update them, restarted my exchange server and waited over an hour, and still am not able to find the user that I want to connect the mailbox to. Is there anyway around this?

You can only connect an orphan mailbox to an account that doesn't have a mailbox. I suggest recreate the account again and make sure you don't add a mailbox to it.
