Question : Max size for Distribution list?
|
|
I need to email approx 200 members of our organization. I created a new public folder item (for contacts) and called it 'members'. Then I created the 200 contacts inside of that folder. Then I created a new distribution list called 'all_members' and tried to add all theses 200 contacts to it. I got an error saying, 'The distribution list has reached the maximum size for your network e-mail server. No new members could be added' It added 90 contacts to the dist list and stopped. Is there a way that I can email 200 contacts at one time?

There is a limit to the number of contacts that can be in a Personal Distribution List. This varies with the complexity of the contacts you are adding.
There are 2 ways around this. 1. Use nested personal DL's. Create several smaller DL's. Then put these smaller DL's into the main DL.
2. Create Contacts in Active Directory for all the contacts. Then create the Group in Active Directory.
