Question : Cannot send to Mail Recipient in Office 2007

We have just been testing deployment of Microsoft Office 2007 across some parts of the company, and have discovered a small issue. When we right-click on a file and go "Send To -> Mail Recipient", nothing happens.

I've made sure Microsoft Outlook is the default email application, tried creating a new 'Mail Recipient' shortcut, and uninstalling Outlook Express. This seems to be affecting all PCs that have Office 2007 installed.

All PCs are running Windows XP Pro SP3. Does anyone have a solution to this? Hopefully something that can be fixed with all PCs easily.

Answer : Cannot send to Mail Recipient in Office 2007

Here is an easy fix without having to go through all that... it works at my end just fine.

If you goto "c:\documents and settings\\sendto" and make a new shortcut with the target pointing to
"c:\program files\Microsoft Office\Office12\outlook.exe" /a

Name it whatever you want and then try to right click on a file and choose the "Send to" from the menu and then select the shortcut you just made.

It doesn't fix any other underlying problems but it is simple and it works...
