Question : Outlook 2003 hangs ... white window ... not responding when opening Word/Excel attachments

I am experiencing exactly the same problem as the related question

with 3 of the machines on our network, Again, if removed from the network all works fine. I had a feeling that this may be to do with DNS so i have manually assigned the IP and DNS settings to no avail.

The save as solution does work but is not acceptable by my boss!!

Any ideas would be appreciated,

Well................ I think that I finally cracked this one, would you believe a network printer seems to have been the problem, HP Laserjet 3800 Colour to be exact.

After a lot of trial and error, creating miniature networks etc, it seems that unplugging this device from the network cures the problem and plugging it back in recreates the problem,

HP have sent out new parts which have made no difference what's so ever, so my just break the printer up into bin size pieces !!!!
