Question : Error in the application log of Event viewer
|
|
Hi all
I am new to this forum. I am getting the error "The Open Procedure for service "NfsSvr" in DLL "C:\SFU2\nfs\dsctrs.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. Status code returned is data DWORD 0." in the allication log of Event viewer with a frequency of every minute. We are on Windows 2000, service pack 3 level. We are using this as SAP Application server.
Can anybody give some clues about handling this error. We don't have any performance problems because of this error.
Thanks all

you have the Win2k resource kit installed on this server? open up windows explorer and browse to the directory where you installed the resource kit -- ie: "c:\program files\resource kit". Look for an executable called "exctrlst.exe". launch it. scroll down the list and search for "NfsSvr" click on it. Uncheck the "Performance Counters Enabled" check box. close the program. That's it.
There's nothing wrong with your system because of this error. It's just a performance counter.
