Question : Problems using Ghost Boot Flash Drive on HP DC 7700

I am having an issue booting an HP DC7700 from a usb flash drive created with the Ghost Boot Wizzard in Ghost Solution Suite 2.0.  Normally when I create a bootable flash drive and boot any other computer with it you see a Windows 98 splash screen and then it detects the nic, maps my drive where my images are stored and off I go.  The problem is it hangs on the Windows 98 splash screen hangs when booting the DC7700.

You can use the boot wizzard to use 2 types of DOS.
1. PC DOS
2. MS DOS

We have to use MS DOS because we store our images are on a sif share and the share will not accept connections from PC DOS.  I have downloaded an updated driver from Intel for the PCs nic card.  The nic is an Intel 82566DM gigabyte card.  If I do use PC DOS to boot the machine, the machine detects the nic and trys to connect to the share but like I said my connection gets denied.  If I use MS DOS it hangs at the Windows 98 splach screen.

We have a BART PE disk that we used to use to boot from before we upgraded to ghost solution suite 2.0.  That will not detect the nic either.

Any help will be greatly apprciated.

Look for the free, universal TCPIP boot disk, and try that.

I hope this helps !
