Question : Exchange 2000 -1603 (Jet_errNoCurrentRecord, currency not on a record)

Using Exchange 2000 Enterprise on Windows 2000 advanced server.
The first DB on our first Exchange server became corrupt, as we were in a heavy contract period of sales losing a days mail was not an option, no restores were to be allowed.  We created a new storage unit/database and moved all the mailboxes over that would go.  Ones that reported an error we exported to PST and deleted the account and recreated, then reimported.  We shut down the currupd privstore DB and tried exeutil and isenteg but keep coming up with only this error when we try to compact the DB down from its 20G size with only a few meg being used.  It hits about 85% then gives this error

Operation terminated with error -1603 (Jet_errNoCurrentRecord, currency not on a record)

Can this be repaired, all articles I find relate to an old 5.5 bug pre sp3, and I am on 2000 with all the latest SPs and postSPs ect.  Can we just delete this DB and recreate?  I have read yes and no on MSs site, due to its being the first DB on the first server.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Answer : Exchange 2000 -1603 (Jet_errNoCurrentRecord, currency not on a record)

there's a system mailbox, but it's not a big deal. you can safely recreate the database. And yes, exclude the \exchsrvr directories from AV scanning, and the M: drive as well.
