Question : Image Capture using SMS2003 OSD Problem

I'm trying to capture and image of a client using SMS's image capture feature.  I'm doing it all in a virtual environment using Virtual PC.  Ok, to begin with, I have an SMS server virtual machine and a Windows XP virtual machine.  I can ping both, and they both see each other.  I can also access shared on the SMS server from the XP machine.  I created the disc through the SMS Admin console and added the drivers the virtual machines use.  Virtual PC uses Intel 31140-based network adapters for the network emulation.  The driver for this is dc21x4.sys and net21x4.inf.  I've checked the ISO that was created and they're both in the directories they should be in.  I also add the other OSD shell for diagnostics.  I boot the XP virtual machine with the ISO I just created and it starts up fine.  I press F8 to open the command prompt and type "ping 192.168.1.1" (the ip of my virtual SMS server) and I get the following error:

"Unable to contact IP driver, error code 2"

So, out of curiousity, I type in "ipconfig" into the command prompt and it gives me:
"Ethernet adapter {(lots of number and letters)}
            Connection-specific DNS Suffix   .:
             Autoconfiguration IP Address      .:169.254.104.41
             Subnet Mask                               .:255.255.0.0
             Default Gateway                          .:

So after I see that, I ping the SMS server again and get a "Destination host unreachable" error.  While I'm doing all this, the ISO is still running in the background and it gives me an "error code: 1231" and then an "error code: 2250".

Any idea about what's going on?

Answer : Image Capture using SMS2003 OSD Problem

Problem solved.  What was happening was the DHCP service wasn't issuing IPs.  There was a problem with our scope as well as a conflict with the server's own IP.  We set a new scope and everything worked fine.  Thanks for the help.
