Question : steps for inplace upgrade

Does anyone have the steps to do an inplace upgrade from 2000 to 2005
I found lots of sites telling me what to look at - what to worry about etc that all dbs have to be done at once but I can't seem to find how to start it.
Do I have to uninstall 2005 and reinstall it?

Answer : steps for inplace upgrade

in short:
start the setup of sql 2005, and ensure you get in the setup to upgrade the existing sql 2000 instance.

of course:
? before actually doing it, you should have tested this on a spare/virtual server
  -> this includes the upgrade AS WELL as the applications using the sql 2005 databases
? before starting, ensure nobody is using the databases
? before starting, ensure you use the sql upgrade advisor tool to check the requirements
