Question : Why are animated gifs in emails static?

Whenever I send an email with an animated GIF in it the image doesn't animate when opened by an end user using Outlook 2007 - it does animate on Outlook 2003. Why is this? Is there a setting on Outlook 2007 to make them animate?

As above, Outlook 2007 does not support animated GIFs, nor is there a setting to change this.

The only way I know of to view the animated GIF is to open the message then go "Actions->Other Actions->View in Browser". This will open up the message in a web browser which should display the animated GIF properly.
