Question : IPMP without switch
Hello
I would like to know if it is required to have a switch to be able to utilize IPMP NIC teaming? We have a scenario with direct attached storage over Ethernet and want to utilize IPMP for fault tolerance. However currently there are no switches between the storage box and the 2 servers, they are directly attached.
If you require more details or other info please let me know
Thanks
Answer : IPMP without switch
No, a switch is not required to do IPMP. A switch is only required if you are doing link aggregation.
