Question : Save attachment to Disk from Linux/Postfix

Hi Experts,

I am currently running postfix on Fedora Core 4 as a mail server. Currently this server receives emails daily with text file attachments, I was wondering if there was a way to copy those attachments to a folder on the mail server of easy access.

So basically I get an email with blah.txt attached and want that copied to /path/to/folder when it is received, google just confused me.

Thanks Heaps,
Justin

Answer : Save attachment to Disk from Linux/Postfix

tools like:

Metamail from
ftp://thumper.bellcore.com/pub/nsb/
has tools like mimencode/mimedecode

or ripmime
http://pldaniels.com/ripmime/

Or libraries like:
http://spruce.sourceforge.net/gmime/
http://search.cpan.org/dist/MIME-tools/

all allow you to build scripts/perl-script etc.
for handling your mail.
