Question : Can't Boot Win95 - Invalid VxD dynamic link??
|
|
I have been experiencing a persistent problem starting my computer. Upon boot up it provides this error message.
Sector not found reading drive C Abort, Retry, Ignore, Fail?
Typing F results in the following message.
Invalid VxD dynamic link call to device number 3, service B. Your Windows configuration is invalid. Run the Windows setup program again to correct this problem.
I cant reinstall Win95 because my CD-ROM is not recognized.
I have been able to get to a poin where I can boot up in safe mode, then delete some devices, restart the computer, and eventually rebuild it. I'm getting tired of doing this.
I have had this problem for about the last 9 months and have rebuilt my machine several times. How can I fix it for good?
The computer is a pc clone, which I have added stuff to over the years. Was a basic 486 dx/50, now is a P90, with creative cd-rom and sound card, and 28.8 modem.

RD, I strongly urge yo to go to Then to the "Win98 Troubleshooting", then Click "My computer does not start or shut down properly."
I know it's looks like a 98 thing, but as you'll see it's also for 95
