Question : Redhat 7.3 booting
|
|
I have installed Redhat 7.3. It works, but it takes forever to boot(I have a slow pc), I get this error "1781 - Disk1 Failure" then it says F1 Boot. Once I F1 it boots ok. I think it is trying to boot from the wrong drive, where and how do I fix this. thanks

>>1781 - Disk 1 Failure This is a common error. It may occur if there are problems with your HDD. OR Some errors might have occured during formatting your hdd. That is your hdd was not properly formatted during instllation.
What I would suggest you is to scan your disk first and then format it again and install linux again.
Also tell me if you have multiple boot system or single? If you have only Linux as your option then I would suggest you to reinstall it. You can download the latest images from (Red Hat 9.0 ) ftp.redhat.com.
