Question : Does OEM Vista install under VirtualPC?

I have an OEM Vista disk and, before opening the package, I ought to check that it will install under VirtualPC...

As long as you do not activate it during setup and/or activate it after setup. You will get a constant nag window in the lower right hand corner saying activate now as long as you do not do that you can reinstall over and over again and use the procedure above to extend it to a 120 day period.

At some point in the future though there is a possibility that this could change but I doubt it. It has been this way this far.

Another option though expensive if you need a lot of different microsoft software for testing is you can get a special subscription for $380.00 per year to get all of the latest software from microsoft. I think but I am not certain that you have to be MCP certfied by Microsoft to be elligible.. The license on this software allows you to use it as much as you want for internal testing but you are not allowed to use it for production environments at all
