Question : Estimating live chat traffic?

I'm looking into using live chat for customer support on a website. Is there a rule of thumb for me to estimate the amount of traffic the chat tool will receive based on my daily visitors?

I think the best place to get that answer would be from the live chat software host.  

In other words, I'm sure LivePerson has those statistics and will provide them to you with a phone call (or live chat session)
