Question : Arcserve Console Username/Password

Good morning, experts.

I am wondering if there is a way to setup multiple accounts on ArcServe 11.1 to log into the management console.


My company is currently going through some accreditation in which we need to ensure that anyone who makes a change to any system (IE a restore) has been logged and tracked.  Thus, we need everyone to have their own unique username/password to log into the console.

Not sure if this is possible.

If it's not possible, our "plan B" is to force the admins to log into the machine with unique local username/passwords, but we would rather not do this.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by Management Console.

Anyone who is a member of the Admin group can submit jobs, and there is no way to set it up for specific user names. ARCserve relies on Windows for user security and does not have its own.

 I think you have to follow your suggestion and force people to login with their own accounts.
