Question : Refresh rate problem booting Ubuntu

I am trying to install Ubuntu 7.04 on my PC. Every time I put the LiveCD in the drive and reboot from it, the screen goes blank and the monitor shows "Refresh rate out of range". Ubuntu, on the background continues to load. I even tried to install Ubuntu from the alternate install CD using the DOS installer. The installation goes fine but when I try to boot the PC in Ubuntu, the screen goes blank showing the same message. Ubuntu, on the background loads as I can hear the sounds of Gnome starting up.

Can anyone tell me what to do?
