Question : Chkdsk /f will not fire off after scheduling it

I currently have an issue where the virus def folder for my symantec av client has become corrupted on one of my servers. I've uninstalled SAV but the corrupted folder remains in the common files folder. I have tried scheduling a chkdsk /f to get the corruption resolved but everytime I reboot it doesn't fire off...it just boots back into Windows.

Any clue why this is happening and what I can do about it?

Answer : Chkdsk /f will not fire off after scheduling it

Ok Cool. When the checkdisk did run and seem like it was doing things the second time, did you run it with the /f flag as you originally did, or with the /r flag? /r will actually find bad sectors and attempts recovery of data. With /r.. /f is implied. If you used /f try again with /r. Also while you're booted in bart.. what happens if you attempt to delete the folder from within Bart. Easiest if you have a plugin like A43 File management Utility. If it errors again in Bart.. does it give you the same error as in windows?
