Question : Explorer.exe not running

My It group has been having this issue happening more frequently now. Explorer.exe will start but then close out. I have tried running multiple virus/spyware scans, did a system restore, repaired the Windows installation. Theses steps have worked on a few PC's but over all has not be successful. This issue spans across profiles on the machine's as well. We are trying to avoid re-imaging the PC's. Any advice would be appreciated. The PC's are Dell Latitude laptops and Dell Optiplex desktops.

Answer : Explorer.exe not running

We found that the issue is with Google desktop and part of our group policy blocking that software. We had to re run the install for Google desktop and then remove it. This then cleared the issue. Thanks for the help.
