Can you restart the spooler service? Type SERVICES.MSC in the Run dialog box off the Start Menu, scroll down to the entry for Print Spooler, double click it, and try to set its startup status to Automatic and click on the Start service button. If you can't do this: To quote from the link given below:
If the Print Spooler service fails when printing, when Windows starts or it can not be restarted, the usual reason is that one or more printer drivers is defective.
