Question : Linux home directory is full

I have Linux and it won't completely load due to this error:
$HOME directory (/home/michael) is out of disk space.
KDE is unable to start
How do I clean out this home directory so that I can log in again?

Answer : Linux home directory is full

How about logging in as root and clearing out the home directory?

Alternatively if you press CTRL-ALT-F1 you should be able to login at the command line and remove large and unneccessary files. CTRL-ALT-F7 will then return you to the GUI and you can use CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE to restart X.
