Question : software install tracker

A long time ago I used some software to build a PE Plugin which when ran grabed a snapshot of the system, all files, inis and registy entries, then installed the program, and took another snapshot, then compared the snapshots, and told me what files had been changed or written.

Does anyone know of any software that can do this now, pref freeware or shareware?

It is Freeware, but I don't know how it will work with PE (XP, Vista or Bart?)
