Question : Virtual PC, How to get image to mount

Hi,
I have downloaded virtual pc and installed it on my laptop, my question is what next ! I have no experience of virtual environments, how do I configure the file to mount, for the moment I'm running XP PRO and would like to install another copy of XP Pro as a virtual machine, maybe i have to run something to rip the xp pro image from my machine and save it as a file that I then point the virtual pc software to??

Start virtual pc and install Windows XP inside using the XP installation cd as in a real machine. Select the correct drive from virtual pc menu and reboot the virtual machine, the setup will begin.
