Question : Setup doesnt work

i have a software which is PROGRESS 9.1 E and i am trying to install it on ACER new machines but the setup wont run how can i run it. please help

i have tried running it from task manager and also from RUN as well also tried runing it from RUN AS but still not running but it does show in the task manager that the setup is running.

Answer : Setup doesnt work

so you can try this...start---run---msconfig press enter.....from the window that you see choose the last tab called startup.....remove the check mark from beside all programs that you see except for the ATI card...shutdown your computer and wait for 30seconds and switch it on again and leave it till windows starts normally then start your setup again this will ensure that any program locking the setup is stopped to some extent try this. (in case anything goes wrong which is extremly rare to happen...simply reboot in safe mode and repeat the same steps and return the check marks again)
