Question : Exchange 2003 OWA Issue
|
|
I have a weird issue with Exchange 2003 OWA (we only have one Exchange server) all of a sudden.
From outside of network:
-http://email.domain.com/exchange (page not found) -http://publicip/exchange (page not found)
I can ping the public name and ip without issue.
From inside the network:
-http://email.domain.com/exchange (works and I can login.. maybe unrelated, but on IE7 the folders do not load and I get a script error. I have no issues with IE6).
-Right click browse on exchange virtual directory within IIS (works without issue)
Rebooting the server has not helped. I do see the "System cannot find the path specified" error on the exchange virtual directories that refererence \\.\BackOfficeStorage". I know the paths are correct. I have also heard the ""System cannot find the path specified" is normal if the IIS services start before the Exchange services.
Nothing has changed on the firewall.
Thoughts?

Answer : Exchange 2003 OWA Issue

I find that EXBPA always flags that. It looks for a certificate on https://domain.com - why I do not know.
Ensure that anonymous authentication is enabled on the /exchweb virtual directory in IIS Manager.
Although if it works internally but not externally then I would start looking at the firewall.
Simon.
