Question : No Microsoft Exchange Server was detected at the specified address

I am setting up exchange activesync and keep encountering this error "No Microsoft Exchange Server was detected at the specified address....." in Microsoft Activesync 4.2 when I attempt to add a server source. I have a valid ssl root certificate and the mx record points to my ip address on the firewall which forwards to my SBS 2003 server on 192.168.2.2! Email is flowing and I'm using a Windows Mobile 5 phone. I've tried every combination of server name/address there is without success. Someone has to have the answer?

Answer : No Microsoft Exchange Server was detected at the specified address

Does the name on the SSL certificate resolve internally tot he internal IP address? If not then that is the problem. You need to configure a split DNS system inside so that the device can access your Exchange server over your LAN when connected to the desktop.
