Question : Windows XP Pro Screensaver does not run.

Hello all.
I would appreciate assistance with a Screensaver problem in Windows XP Pro.
The system consists basically of the following:-
MSI Motherboard (KT3 Ultra ARU) Via KT333 Chipset, Via 4 in 1 drivers loaded.
AMD XP2000+ CPU
GeForce 4 Ti 4400 128Mb Video Card. nVidia 29.42 Driver Download. (6.13.10.2924)
768MB DDR333 RAM
Mitsubishi Diamond Plus Monitor. Driver 1.1.925.1
I have upgraded the hardware and did a complete rebuild at the same time.
The screen saver worked for 3 days then quit working. It is possible to preview any screensaver but none work, Setting the power options to power off the monitor also does not work.
Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated as I really don't want to go through the rebuild process again and want to make a Ghost image of the system as soon as I can rectify this problem
