Does anyone know how to find out the search method in google? like if you type in "apple4", how can google ask you "Did you mean apple 4"? Thanks a lot

on that example, the situation may appear so, but what really happends is that google tryes to find misspelled words, so if you type apple4, they suppose you missed a space, if you type translete instead of translate, they will sugest you the word translate (the algorythm is very simple: you have a dictionary and verify that the word typed is not in the dictionary, with a changed letter, or 2 switched letters and so on). after finding the most probable word, google sugests it, or if there is no result for what you searched, it changes directly the searched word if you really want to know more, i guess you can ask google webmaster and maybe he will give you some details.
