Question : Domino Clusters

Hi All,
Although this is not a problem, and I am not looking for any solution. But as you all are experienced and knowledgable domino professionals, I thought you will be the best people to ask for this.
See we have one workflow application running, it's a big multilocational application and few of the databases are having size greater than 1.5 GB. Recently i have faced problems in this, as the databases which are higly used are getting corrupted and while accessing displayed an error msg "RRV Bucket is corrupt".
We tried everything to fix these databases but all gone in vain, finally we have to create new dbs in order to keep the show running. Pls suggest what could have caused this problem ?
Also we are thinking of implementing Domino Cluster environment for this application.. can somebody enlight us by giving some factual information on when and why to use domino clusters ? Is there any site that can give some figures/data on the threshold of single domino server, and the point where domino gets saturated (be it transaction per min or no. of users or whatever )?
At present I am not assigning any points to this, i hope u will agree with this.
