Question : Cleanspl deleted usb monitor and IP monitor on server how do i re-install them for print re-direction
I have a windows 2003 server that i am using in application mode for terminal server. The clients 17 of them can connect and use the application but they cannot print. I had installed a driver from Toshiba (most of their printers are network printers from Toshiba) that was not compatible and the spools service quit qoeking so i had to run the cleanspl tool to remove the driver from the system. However now none of the printers are redirected in the client sessions and i think that when i ran the tool i allowed it to remove the usb and tcp/ip monitors. Can these be re-installed without reloading an os? The spools service is running. i have restarted the service many times but t with no luck to printer redirection. The OS is Windows 2003 R2 with Service pack 2. Any help will be greatly appreciated. This server has to be running in two days.
Answer : Cleanspl deleted usb monitor and IP monitor on server how do i re-install them for print re-direction
hardware shouldnt matter. Its only OS.
Connect to target \\workingserver and press backup
Afterwards press restore, and remove name in servername. That should restore to the local one.
Maybe try and stop print spooler before restoring it.
