Question : Left, Up and Down arrow keys not working on Asus A9RP Laptop?

The right arrow key works fine. A USB external keyboard works fine.

They didn't work before I restored to Factory Default and they don't work now. I have set the BIOS to default. At some point they did work (not my lappy, so not sure how long ago), but a factory restore should have set things right? Unless an MS update went through just after the factory restore and before I tried them, that stuffed it up?

Short of flashing the BIOS (which I am not keen on doing nor do I have the means), I'm not sure where to go from here. I've googled till the cows came home and got nothin.

To the best of my knowledge, nothing was ever spilled or dropped on it. I cannot mute with fn+f10 (mute key) also, although I could immediately after the restore, which why I mention the MS update.

it doesn't work when you're scrolling through the bios? if it does then thats a sure sign its a windows problem but if the arrow keys do not work then it could just be your laptop hardware and that it might need repaired, a circuit could of gone bad....
