Question : WIN XP wireless network connection

I cannot get my wireless network connection to function on new computer running XP.  All connections and settings appear to be proper.  Signal strength is excellent.  Any suggestions?

physical address, Ip adress, mask etc etc:  all these entries are correct, have verified twice with
manufacturer

Evidently not, since you cannot ping the router.
Try enabling DHCP.
