how do i look at what processes are running on a XP pc remotely from my machine?

The SysInternals suite (PSTools)  (available for download from Microsoft) has an executable called psList.exe. This can be used to enumerate process information on remote machines (assuming you have the rights to do so) and list the process information (Can be piped out to a text file).
