Question : Can't open certain .JPG images, but other open just fine.

I notice that my computer does not open certain .jpg images all I get is a small red cross, but other images it opens just fine, my first reaction was to copy the non opening files to another computer to check if they open normally and it opens perfectly, I'm trying to open using Microsoft Photo Editor on both computers, what could it be?

Sorry, I'm out of ideas. Maybe you can try upgrading to SP3 if you haven't already done that or do a repair install (http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm)
