Question : Error when sending meeting requests from Entorage over Exchange: Error: -17997

As of yesterday, my users on Mac platforms running Entourage over Exchange 2003 SP2 have had an issue sending meeting requests. All attempts generate the following:

Error
Unexpected data was encountered.

Mail could not be sent.

Error: -17997

Other than that, mail flow is fine. Meeting requests on Windows PCs through Outlook are also fine.

Nothing has changed on the network, firewall or Exchange.
Anyone seen this before?

The update to MS Office for Mac 2008 - v12.1.3 - will break Entourage's ability to send or accept meeting requests or any other invitation.

There is no way to roll back the update. A clean install or restoration form a backed up state at  v12.1.2 is the only solution.
