Question : Calendar - 15 minute intervals
|
|
Hi, we are using Outlook with a Microsoft Exchange Server. Is it possible to set up a calendar for scheduling for booking a football pitch. I was thinking of just adding a new user for the pitch then share the calendar to the users who need to access it.
The defaults times recorded in Outlook are every half hour. Is it possible to show it for every 15 minutes?
Also is it possible so 2 columns for each day? E.g. the pitch can be booked in halfs.

Greetings, harris9999.
Yes, it's possible to schedule most any resource by creating a mailbox for the resource. I recommend using "direct booking" or Microsoft's "auto-accept agent" (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=5eac9a70-699b-495a-a920-82403305226b&displaylang=en). Yes, you can set the interval to 15 minutes. You'll need to create or customize a view to accomplish this. With that calendar open click View->Arrange By->Current View->Customize Current View->Other Settings. Change the "Time Interval" setting to 15 minutes. You'll need to tell anyone accessing the calendar to select this view. You can try setting the folder's initial view (right-click on the calendar folder, select Properties->Administration and change the "Initial view on folder" to the desired view) but I'm not sure if that will just be your view or if it will actually force all viewers to use that view. There's no way I know of to split the calendar into two columns.
Cheers!
