Question : SYBASE ASE STRING ARRAY

Currently using ASE 12.5.4 and was wondering if it is possible to pass a variable length array of strings as an argument for a stored procedure.  Alternative solution is to create a single string by appending the values in a string array together before passing it to the stored proc but thought it would save some time to just pass the array itself.
