Question : Format Date On Pivot Chart

Why can't I format a date on a pivot chart but I can on a pivot table.  I can change the date from mm/dd/yyyy to mmm-yy on the pivot table but not on the chart.

How are you changing the formatting on the pivot table? Are you changing the 'Field Settings' option or are you using the 'Format Cells' option as you would for normal cells? If you do the former, the chart should pick it up; if you do the latter, it won't.
