Question : Error 50 Terminal Service Sessions Drop
|
|
Hello Experts,
I've been having an issue with TS and thin clients for about a week now. This is what I've found:
System Event Viewer shows
Event ID: 50 Source: TermDD with the following error message:
"The RDP protocol component WD detected an error in the protocol stream and has disconnected the client."
We're using Neoware thin clients - not sure if that is a possible issue or not. There are about 6 thin clients that will drop out of a total of 20 at the location. They are connecting through 10/100 LAN - no remote sites.
I've tested the pairs on all of the network cable and they seem to be fine. Microsoft doesn't offer much help in the way of this error message. The connection will drop and attempt to reconnect after it drops but sometimes can't for 10-20 seconds. The timeout was set for 3 hours but I've since removed it so that's not an issue. The cabling is fairly new. I highly doubt that 6 NIC's failed all starting around the same time. The TS server is Win2k3 Standard Edition. I don't believe there are licensing issues.
This is fairly urgent hence the 500 points. Thanks everyone!
Eric

You can try clients not to send passwords automatically?
