I RECEIVE FOLLOWING ERROR CODE   C00D1199  WHEN TRYING TO PLAY A CD WITH WMP 10.

Code C00D1199 is an unsupported format error. It most likely means that you do not have the proper codec to play the file. This shouldn't be happening on a redbook audio CD. Does the CD have other types of data on it such as CD-i or could it be a hybrid CD? Was the CD store bought or burned?

If the CD is a plain audio CD from a store then you have other issues. Try the following:

1. Start > Run > sfc /scannow (verifies that you have all necessary system files)

2. Reinstall WMP 10 (the installation may be corrupt or missing files)

3. If you recently installed software or codecs that deals with audio/video files try deleting them. A bad install can over-right your proper codecs and cause them to malfunction. (Roxio Media Creator, DivX, Nero, etc.)
