Question : Word doc loses formatting when converted to pdf

Hello experts:

I am having an issue with converting a Word document to a pdf file.  When the file is converted to a pdf using Adobe Professional, the formatting of a paragraph at the end of one page is lost.  In the Word document, the whole paragraph appears at the top of page 4.  In the PDF created from the Word document, the paragraph is split between pages 3 and 4 of the document.  The first line of the paragraph appears at the bottom of page 3, while the rest of the paragraph appears at the top of page 4.

There are no hard returns or any other formatting between these two pages in the Word document.  In the Word document, the paragraph naturally displays in whole on the top of page 4 without hard returns, etc.

I have tried researching and everything I can think of with no luck to solve this issue.  Is there some way to keep the formatting the same in the pdf file as it appears in the Word document via properties in either Word or PDF?

Thanks.

Are you printing to the Adobe Printer, or are you distilling the document by using the PDFMaker command on the toolbar? Each method will produce different results.
