Question : Applications go not responding when file/insert open dialog under windows XP

Hi All

 A user of mine using Outlook 2003 under Xp opens up a new email and then goes to insert, file, and isnt able to attach a file, just gets the hourglass, and task manager displays not responding.

Seems to be a general problem with the "file open dialog", as other applications hang when looking to bring in the list of files, also just crashes.

WhenI login with my id have no problems. I have created a new outlook profile, but no joy. Seems machine specific, other users ok. Have registered sole important outlook files, but seems to be the underlying file open dialog across windows that is the problem.

Any ideas?

Mart, create a new Outlook profile.

If no joy, then create a new Windows profile.
