Question : How to create a WMF or EMF for use in Xara 3d

I'm currently working on a job which requires me to take an established logo, available as an EPS or GIF file and turn it into a WMF or EMF for import into the package XARA 3d in order to add 3 Dimensional effects.

However I have not been able to produce a suitable WMF or EMF file which XARA 3D will import. All my resulting Metafiles have come up with this error when importing into Xara:

"Cannot import from C:\mylogo.wmf

This file does not contain any outlines"

Vector packages are not something I use often but I did used to use CorelDraw quite a lot at one time - but here's what I tried to produce a WMF file:

1. Imported mylogo.eps into Paint Shop Pro, exported as mylogo.wmf - Xara gave the above error
2. Imported mylogo.eps into CorelDraw 5, exported as mylogo.wmf - Xara gave the above error
3. Took various versions of the logo in EPS and GIF format into CorelTrace, but all looked pretty poor so abanonded the idea.

My question then, is how do I make a WMF or EMF file suitable for import into Xara 3D. I have copies of Illustrator and Freehand but not installed - I don't use these packages often - would these help me to make a suitable file?
